Name: Liyang "Loon" Yoon
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Hair Color: Black (Naturally brown)
Eye Color: Brown
Ethnicity: Korean
Occupation: A lazy student >_>
Face Claim: DooJoon Yoon
Appearance: Loon doesn't really look all that out of the ordinary. He's a bit on the tall side (5'9") compared to other teens his age. He's got a pretty normal frame and normal weight too. He's constantly in motion, his emotions made really obvious by his dramatic gestures. He slumps his shoulders when he's feeling down, he sits up straight and dances when he's happy, when he's surprised he jumps back in full shock, waving his arms around dramatically. His eyes are black. His hair is black (naturally brown) and usually spiked, but they are occasions when he wears his hair 'flat' as he like to call it. Usually when his hair is flat he can be seen wearing a matching baseball cap or top hat for his outfit.
His style could be classified as skater/punk rocker. He chooses to wear clothing that he feels comfortable in and that he loves, uncaring of what others may think. Usually consist of baggy pants, pair of DC shoes, a t-shirt with his one of his favorite bands or skating company, and maybe a jacket if it is cool.
Personality: Because his moods seem to change constantly Loon's personality is hard to pin down. One moment he can be all bad-guy and comes across as fairly menacing, but the next minute he flinches back and starts talking to himself about how he really isn't cut out for the job. He can be civil and pleading one moment and then appear cynical and sarcastic the next. He can be clever and has a thing for noticing little details, but can also be completely oblivious to the obvious and make poor life choices. With the rapid changes all he really accomplishes is a very good impression of a complete spazz case.
He usually puts up a fairly light-hearted and thoughtful front, unless the situation calls for "evil." But still he usually thinks about others before he thinks about himself and will usually claim he's not really the right guy for the job. He has a lot of expectations to live up to, considering he's somewhat a villian. It all boils down to him looking like a pushover, kind of air-headed, and not all that threatening. He doesn't enjoy fighting and will probably try to get out of it in any way he can. But don't let his personality fool you. He's fully capable of fending for himself.
History: The son of a Korean drug lord and innocence mother, Liyang was born in South Korea. His father, Yang, met his mother, Lilly, on one of his vacation trips. The two fell in love and Yang took Lilly back to Korea with him. Yang soon gave of the drug lord life after seeing the pain and suffereing it brought her. Two years later was when Liyang was born. They had always known their boy was special and was gifted with special abilities that was pass down from his mother, though his mother abilities were nowhere close to the boy's once he got older.
Since he had special abilities his parents thought it best that they home schooled him. They feared if anyone found out what he was capable of then the goverenment would get involved and take their child away. When Liyang was six, his father realize that he could use the boy's special abilities to his advantage. Since giving up the life of a drug lord, the family were just managing to get by. Lilly said that she was happy with the life she had. She had the two most important people she needed; her son and her husband. But Yang wanted to give his family much more. He did not want to settle for being content.
Using Liyang's abilitles, Yang started to take money from ATM machines. After practicing, it was an easy take for Liyang. Of course Lilly wondered were they were getting all this money. She first thought that he had got back into dealing, but she was even more shocked and hurt when she found out the truth. How could he just use their son like that? It was then that packed her things and took Liyang to Maple Ridge, her hometown. At the time Yang did not care. He was blinded by his greed and all the money he had. Unfortunately, a few years later Yang was murdered. His killers were never found, but Lilly believed that it had something to do with his past.
At the age of seven Liyang was finally allowed to go to public school. He was extremely happy, but of course his mother laid down one big rule; he must not use his abilities no matter what. Liyang could accept that. At first, Liyang had a difficult time adjusting to public school and people his age, but after a while he loved it. He was dubbed with the nickname 'Loon' since it fit his personality so well and how it was a shorten version of his whole name.
Years passed and though Liyang never showed it he held a grudge for those who killed his father. Once they found his father's killers Liyang would get his revenge. Now at the age of 17, he continues to try and live a normal life with the few friends and mother he has.
»The Side-effects
Super Name: Static
Class: Hero (though he would claim he's neutral)
Powers: Electrical generation, manipulation, and absortion - Loon is a powerful conduit with the ability to create and manipulate electricity. Powered by the micro-fine rhythmic muscle contractions that normally regulate body temperature. He can generate electrostatic energy at a rate of about 1,000 volts per minute and store up to 1,000,000 volts allowing him to emit lightning arcs from his fingertips and body at speeds of up to 1,100 feet per second, achieving a maximum distance of about 100 feet. In addition, he can absorb static from the air and he can override electrically powered devices and manipulate them mentally, and travel along conductive surfaces (such as power lines or anything with electicity) at speeds as fast as 140 mph.
Loon's inner electricity greatly accelerates his body's natural ability to repair damage by stimulating the muscle tissue and his immune system; essentially an accelerated healing factor, making Loon impervious to most diseases except for the most powerful ones, such as mind control. His healing capability can be temporarily boosted when he absorbs electricity. With electricity coursing through his body, this also allows for his muscles to absorb huge amounts of physical trauma to a far greater degree than normal humans, granting the ability to survive falls from some heights with no harm to his body.
Weakness: Liyang is always absorbing electricity, even the static electricity in the air. Every two days the boy most discharge himself by releasing the electricity within himself. If not, it becomes extremely difficult for him to move and eventually kill him since his body can only hold so much electricity without releasing it. Once he starts to get over charged he begin to speak quickly and it becomes hard to understand what he's saying and he tends to fidget a lot.
Though he has these powers, he can still be hurt/killed like a regular human. He just happens to heal quicker do the electricity in his body. But a gunshot to the head, a stab to the heart, or anything fatal can still easily kill the boy.
How do they get into their disguise? >_> He just tosses the cloak and mask on lol. Simple, right? Of course he does it in a secluded place.
Suit description: Well, there isn't much to Loon's suit. It's just a crimson cloak and a very unique mask to hide his face.

Roleplay example:
Canada, O Canada! This was the boy's first trip to the country to the north of America and he had to admit that it was not that bad. He and Koopa would always make jokes about the place, nothing to serious, but he was actually enjoying the little time he was having here. The people were friendly and the weather was nice this time of year. More important, the boy could walk around as if he was a normal person. Of course he was far from normal, very far.
Honestly, no one knew what Liyang was capable of. No one knew of his special powers nor did they know he was apart of a secret organization except those within the organization itself. He was more worried that someone would recognize him from the sitcom 'Boy Meets Girl.' People hitting him with a flurry of questions; what are you going to do now that the show ended? Can we have your autograph? It was just nice to go to a place where people did not recognize him or did not care who he was.
A slight smile danced across Liyang's face as he stared up at the moon, resting it the night's sky. It was quiet and peaceful, the perfect time to relax and reflect on his thoughts. "...Maybe I should go see dad at home. It has been a while..." Over the years the two had fell apart. Suddenly, they have become strangers. The reason being Liyang's father could not bare looking or being around his son. Liyang reminded him so much of his wife and the guilt of killing her was slowly getting to the man.
Liyang took a seat on one of the park's benches, staring at the ground now. Maybe, just maybe he would have his father move to Canada with him. They could rekindle their father-son relationship here, away from the busy life they had. Yeah... I'll run it by him next time.
