Name: Melissa Jane Thornburg
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Hair Color: Brunette
Eye Color: Hazel
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Occupation: Librarian
Face Claim: unknown
Appearance: Melissa is incredibly thin, 5'5" and only 100 lbs. She's not anorexic--quite the opposite. Her metabolism is so overactive she must eat roughly every three hours or else her blood sugar drops so low she's likely to pass out. She's incredibly bony, and in her black crime-fighting leotard her bones jut out half-exotically, half-disturbingly. Her face is small and heart-shaped, and her brunette hair is always cropped short on a bob cut. Her smile is unnerving, however--her smiling eyes as well. Most often, the last things criminals see of her is her glee-ridden smile. She smiles as if she knows everything about you, and as if nothing can save you from her- not much can.
Personality: How she used to be: gullible, trusting, honest, loving, easy to laugh, and easy to forgive.
How she is now? Sarcastic. Sadistic. Bitter. Depressed. Angry. Mistrusting. Suspicious. Fake. Hateful. Wrathful. Cruel. Merciless. Worst of all, verging on insanity. As a librarian and a person one meets on the street, she's painfully polite, smiling as if she'd just bitten back an insult to your person. She doesn't have friends. She considers herself No One. she has no friends. she trusts no one with any word of her person. If it were up to her, she wouldn't have a name. It would be as if she existed, but only barely.
History: Melissa has been a hero since she was fifteen. Then, she was young and gullible and trusting. Her sexy, slender outfit brought stares, but she wasn't looking back, until four years later. It was shortly after her mother of all people called her a "Prude" and long after the woman had begun harassing her about her lack of desire to seek relationships. She blames her mother for what happened next.
He was a charming boy, chivalrous through and through. He would even get upset if she opened her own door. She had fallen in love, and then... It was over. He left her.
She spent a year broken and depressed, confused, never having known what it was that was wrong with her, that he would simply draw away. She learned from friends all the ways he'd lied to her, hid things from her, things that surprised them that she did not know. She locked herself away, and left to her own thoughts, she came to her own conclusions. Those conclusions? People could not be trusted. She was the only one she could trust. Men must die.
Her targets were still criminals- the most easily condemn-able, which technically still made her a hero. She simply didn't like to fill in the jails. She finished off her targets, bot not before playing with them like a cat with a wounded mouse. Cruelty came easily to the new Melissa. Cruelty was in her face with every glance she took, and she exalted in it.
